Description

Reusing, recycling and re-interpretation of materials are one of the major processes involved to curated luxury items, keeping in mind the modern functionality and utility. They design leather & Eco-friendly goods and accessories, Sculptural jewellery, Stationery, Graphics, Illustrations, and Furniture.

Introducing a range of Eco-Friendly Products crafted using a hybrid material, Kassa’s eco-friendly range has all the qualities of a recyclable product. Something for your green minds to chew on! The brand possesses a set idea about the look and feel of each product/or a series through prototypes and sampling.

Their recycled/up-cycled leather is a composite of shredded leather scraps and residues collected from tanneries and other leather product manufacturers. Repurposed leather refers to items made from secondhand goods, and not sourced directly from tanneries or other leather manufacturers thus upcycling what’s available with different surface explorations and hand techniques.

Kassa meaning ‘House of two’, was started by two like-minded contemporary artists post-Aarushi’s Masters from MICA (Mudra Institute of communication, Ahmedabad) in Visual Communications and Arpan’s Masters from the University of Arts London in Product Design. After having done solo shows at Jehangir art gallery, Mumbai and London art galleries and closely working with the advertising world respectively, they finally felt at home discovering a space between Art and Design. Aptly naming it Kassa, they started working on a product line of things they would carry themselves (be it lifestyle products or furniture etc).
