As an opinionated, slow fashion, we believe in mindfully creating our clothes via our use of sustainable fabrics, zero-waste pattern cutting techniques and ethical business practices. With minimalism as its core philosophy, we don’t do seasons and believe in creating timeless classic pieces.
The signature East14 embroidery is inspired by this technique where instead of gold or lacquer and broken ceramic pieces, we play with fabrics. Essentially, we use creative pattern making techniques where we skilfully merge together leftover fabrics from different patterns and our artisans masterfully paint with threads over them with Raffia using traditional thread work techniques to create our signature impressionistic embroideries. Thus we tactfully create patterns to ensure zero wastage or minimal wastage. Raffia threads are 100% BIODEGRADABLE THREADS produced from palm tree leaves.
