Is it right to call Sustainable fashion a ‘Need for Today’s World’?

Sustainable fashion brands create fashion in a way that is most considerate of humanity and the environment, reducing the environmental impact wherever possible. The ultimate goal is to have a system that works without leaving a negative footprint.

Is it right to call sustainable fashion the ‘Need for Today’s World’?
It all started when we began to multiply in humungous numbers. As a result, the demand began to exceed supply and the need to be the best at service started to gain in weight.

CAME THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION…
The Industrial Revolution, now also known as the First Industrial Revolution, was the transition to new manufacturing processes in Europe and the United States, in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. This transition included going from hand production methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing, and iron production processes, the increasing use of steam power and water power, the development of machine tools, and the rise of the mechanized factory system.

A point to note: The textile industry was also the first to use modern production methods.
The day we resorted to chemical manufacturing we also started to hit the natural ecosystem only to make it lose its protection that the living would need for their survival on earth. Hence, it is now not only a demand but our duty to participate in healing our mother earth’s protective nature.

Reasons to opt for sustainable fashion…. What Good Does It Do?
1. Helps reduce carbon footprint:
The use of materials from natural or recycled fabrics that require significantly less to no chemical treatment, little water, less energy, and no fertilizers or pesticides to grow. Most organic fabrics such as linen, hemp, organic cotton & TENCEL™ (made from sustainable wood pulp) are even biodegradable. These environmentally-sound fabrics go easy on the planet and are amazing sustainable alternatives.

2. Animal Produce:
Helps in scaling down produce from animal skin thereby helping in protecting their lives

3. Saves Water: Use of organic cotton, properties like hemp fabric, recycled cotton, linen, etc

4. Its Supports Concept of Recycling – The world is being choked with materials most of which are unwanted. Plastic is a hazardous material and if that can be put to reuse it will do a lot of good to our planet
